Funeral intimations
It is with sadness that we intimate the deaths within our Parish of Mrs Veronica (Vera) Coils and Mrs Helen Law (Ailsa Lodge).
Both were known to many of our members and had church connections through family and I have been asked to conduct both funerals.
Vera Coils funeral will take place at Greenock Crematorium on Thursday 23rd July at 12 noon.
Mrs Law’s funeral on Monday 27th July at 11 am – Woodside Crematorium.
We have assured the families of our prayers and thoughts in this time of loss.
Please remember in your prayers all those who grieve at this time.
Sunday Kidz
Children are encouraged to be part of the Morning Worship from 11am in the Church, and they may leave after the second hymn to take part in a creche which will be available for all children in the Extension Hall.
Boys’ Brigade
The Boys’ Brigade meets on Mondays at 6.30pm.
Open to primary school boys.
Boys Brigade are now finished until after the summer break.
Girls’ Brigade
The Girls’ Brigade meets on Thursdays

Playtime at The Cornerstone
Playtime meets on Mondays from 1.30 until 2.45pm.
Parents/guardians who bring their child /children, will be responsible for the overall care and overseeing their children at play.

Junior Singers
The group is open to children of Primary School age and meets during school term time from 3.45 to 4.45pm.
New members will be made very welcome.

Walk and Talk Group
The Walk and Talk Group will meet in The Cornerstone carpark every Tuesday morning at 9.30am.

Coffee Stop
This group normally meets on Tuesdays, between 10 and 11.30am.
Drop in for tea/coffee and biscuits. Come and go as you please and catch up with friends.

Thursday Chit Chat Group
Meets every Thursday at 1. 00pm.July programme.

Bishopton Parish Church Graveyard Tour
Stephen Clancy (known as “The Urban Historian”) is currently running a 2-year project recording and telling the stories of the heritage graveyards in Renfrewshire.
As part of the project, Stephen will be conducting a tour of our Church graveyard on Saturday, 18 July from 1:00 pm to 2.30 pm. Those interested are invited to book a free place on this tour which promises stories of thread, war, and witchcraft. If the tour is fully subscribed, Stephen will be happy to offer an additional tour between 3:00 pm and 4:30 pm the same day.
The Church and car park will be open in the afternoon of 18 July, and teas and coffee will be available in the extension hall for tour participants and any other visitors who may wish to explore the Church building. We also hope to display items of historical interest associated with the Church during the afternoon.
This is a rare opportunity to find out more about not only those interred in the graveyard but also about the Church which has been a great influence within our community for over two hundred years.

Renfrewshire Foodbank
As the demand for the Foodbank in Renfrewshire continues to remain high, our Church is pleased to offer support by welcoming donations at The Cornerstone or at the Church service on Sundays.
There is always a need for tinned foods, meat, fish, soup, vegetables, pasta sauce, as well as cereals, biscuits, long life milk, diluting juice. Donations of toiletries, particularly shampoo, shower and shaving items, pet food and chocolate/sweets/crisps are also very much appreciated.
As usual donations can be dropped off at the Church on Sunday or at The Cornerstone when it is open for Chit Chat, Coffee Stop or Services.
